The country know a really rough history with lots of plagues, disises and attacts from inner or outher tribes. The recent history (both the world wars) is something lots of Germans aren’t proud of. All the cities in Germany have a variety of shops, so you can “shop till you drop”. It is impossile to describe all the stores so the best thing to do is find out for yourself during your stay in the city of your choise.
